There are special cover lifter models for HotSpring whirlpools that can be attached either to the whirlpool cover or directly to a reinforced thermal cover (with metal plates). However, direct screwing to the thermal cover is only possible with certain cover types and models:

- HotSpring Sovereign: Here there are Thermo-Covers with integrated metal plates for secure attachment of the cover lifter directly to the lid.
- Specialist dealers offer thermal covers with integrated mounting plates as standard to accommodate cover lifters especially for HotSpring. The prerequisite is that the lifter and the cover are compatible (for example, the original HotSpring covers with matching metal plates).
